Currently, I am a K-8 literacy coach. Previously I have taught 7th and 8th grade ELA, 8th grade physical science, and was our school’s academic interventionist. I am passionate about learning, reading, equitable education, student choice, creating, technology integration, animals, and dance.

I have a B.S. in Elementary Education, a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language and an ED.S. in Educational Administration – Teacher Leadership. All three degrees are from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, and crafts, as well as spending time with my husband. I also judge school-based dance and flag teams for the Illinois Drill Team Association and the Illinois High School Association. I serve on the ethics committee, judging committee, and Board of Directors for IDTA and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2018.
